Thirumalpadi Parish
Thirumalpadi was a sub-station of Chethupattu for a long time. Bishop David Marianayagam when he was the Parish Priest of Chethupattu used to visit Tirumalpadi often travelling in bullock-cart. Tirumalpudi was established as a separate Parish on 22 -12 -1977. It has subtotal Catholic population of the Parish is 326 and the Parish Priest is The construction of the Chapel at Gengampoondi was started by Fr. Maria Arul, Stations. Fr. Arputharaj Rayan. So, and was completed by Fr. Peter Mathew. D, major part of the work having been Done by the latter. The Chapel at Vadakapattu was built by Fr. Thomas George and was Blessed by Bishop R Autony Muthu on 10-5-1977.
