Vaniyambadi Parish (MSFS)
Till 1974, Vaniya mhady. Kodaiyanchy, Ambur, Alangayam and Sanakuppam were the suh-stations of Udayendiram Parish It was only on 31st May, 1974. That Fr Jose M. Lawrece was made the best Parish Priat of Vaniyambady, with the above mentioned places as its substations For one year, For. Jore M. Lawrence was staying at Kodaiyanchy, after which he resided at Vaniyambady. The total number of Catholics in the Parish is 875. On 29th May, 1976, Fr. V P, Joseph became the Parish Priest. In 1977, the roof of the Chapel a Sasankuppam was repaired and 8 cents of land, with 2 small houses, were bought at Alangayam for the purpose of building a Chapel Now a new presbytery is under construction at Vaniyambady. In order to improve the social life of the Catholics, in January. 1978, the bishop Every as loan to start a dairy. 10 buffaloes were given to 10 families. From the Money repaid, 4 cows and J buffaloes were given to 7 ether families This year 8 boys and Girls were sent to the orphanages at Tirupattur, Katpadi and Pallikonda
